Hurricane Information Guide
Dear Neighbor,
I have currently moved into your beautiful Florida coastal neighborhood of Sandyridge! I am so excited to not only reside in Florida, but to also be a part of your community!
With excitement, I also bring some concerns. I am aware that you are in an area that receives a lot of hurricane activity. Moving from Missouri, I do not know much about hurricanes or how to prepare for them. Could you please create a hurricane informational guide that I can utilize for myself and for other new neighbors that move here. In this guide I would like for you to include the following:
* What is a hurricane?
* How do hurricanes form?
* Information about the Saffir-Simpson Scale
* Naming hurricanes
* Hurricane Safety (watch, warning, how to prepare)
* How do scientists predict hurricanes?
* Careers that study hurricanes
* Pictures / Diagrams
Thank you so much for your consideration and assistance in not only helping me become more aware and prepared, but to also help keep all of our neighborhood residents safe!
